CNC Feed Rate Simulator
Analyze and optimize speeds and feeds for CNC milling. Adjust spindle speed, cutter diameter, number of teeth, depth of cut, and material presets to visualize structural chips, calculate material removal rates, and safeguard cutting tool limits.

CNC Machining Equations
Feed Rate (Vf)
Vf = N * Z * fz
Surface Speed (Vc - Imperial)
Vc = π * D * N / 12 [SFM]
Surface Speed (Vc - Metric)
Vc = π * D * N / 1000 [m/min]
Material Removal Rate (Imperial)
MRR = Vf * ap * ae [in³/min]
Material Removal Rate (Metric)
MRR = Vf * ap * ae / 1000 [cm³/min]
Feed per Revolution (fn)
fn = Z * fz
Cutter linear feed speed (V_f) scales proportionally with spindle speed (N) and flute density (Z).
Adjusting tool diameter directly affects Surface Speed (V_c) at a constant Spindle RPM. Higher tool diameters require lower RPM to maintain the same surface speed.
Rubbing occurs when chip load (f_z) is set below typical minimum limits, dramatically accelerating tool wear.
